After going home from work early because I ate a whole bag of twizzlers by myself, inducing a stomach ache the size of Canada, I took a nap. And then I did some other shit, but this post isn’t about any of the stupid things I eat.

It’s about what I did before I ate an entire bag of twizzlers by myself. It is in fact about the amazing opportunity I have coming my way and if anyone would like to join me in it that lives near me, I encourage you to because it’s amazing. As you all know, I am the asshole who gets arrested for having a goddamn gram on me. I was thereby sentenced to 80 hours of community service, some BA’s and UA’s, and 21 weeks of drug classes. Waaah wah I’ve already gotten over complaining about it because guess what?! I wouldn’t have gotten arrested if I didn’t have any damn drugs on me! That’s right! It was my fault! WOOOOOOOO!

Anywho, I am trying to decide how to finish the majority of my community service hours when an opportunity gets dropped in my lap, I’m a lucky bitch. (let me just tell you that the other options aren’t so great. Working at goodwill, picking trash up off of the highways, serving bums mushy looking food, etc) Since I am in charge of all of the donations that the company I work for gives out, I am the one to say yes or no to an organization that would like us to sponsor them. Recently, I was collaborating with one of the directors of the wolf sanctuary here in Colorado for a donation of gift certificates to their silent auction, Waltz for Wolves, an annual fundraiser they hold to raise money for the care of the wolves they house. I spent almost all day on their website reading the stories of the different wolves that live in the sanctuary and how they ended up here in Colorado. Some are purebred wolves, some are wolf-dog mixes. The stories are amazing and the animals are absolutely beautiful. I called the director to discuss our donations. Then I asked about a chance to volunteer, unrelated to my business deal with her.

Turns out, I need to talk to a different woman at the sanctuary to sign up to volunteer. Also turns out, the woman I need to speak with is a girl I worked with at my first job ever at Reader’s Cove. Volunteers are needed and we get to work with animals in the wild.

If that isn’t like the coolest fucking thing you’ve ever read, I don’t know who you are. If you want to read more about the wolves, visit http://www.wolfsanctuary.net/
