Happy Father’s Day to the most brilliant man I’ve ever met. Thanks for yelling at me all those years to clean my room, do my laundry, and take care of my cat. Thank you for helping me with math and science projects and looking over my college entrance essay before I sent it in. Thank you for teaching me and reminding me that I am capable of anything as long as I’ve got the two key ingredients: passion and hard work. Thank you for instilling in me the values that you appreciate above all else, though I still trip and stumble with some of them. Thank you for being the example of a man and a father that has helped me set my standards so high with the men in my life. I hope that I can make you proud dad, I love you.

I think I’m gonna have to give up on drinking coffee. I haven’t had any this week and I’ve been getting massive migraines because of a lack of caffeine. This means only one thing: I drink way too fucking much of it. I love black coffee, and in the summertime, I especially love cold brewed coffee, but the majority of the time, I’m the kind of girl who likes drinks with LOTS of sugar in them. Starbucks: Venti, Soy, White Mocha. You know that bitch has like 700 calories in it?! Not to mention all the simple sugars and the fact that soy is almost as bad for you as drinking cows’ milk. Plus, the reason I stopped drinking coffee this week was to see if it was part of the reason I’ve been breaking out lately. Turns out, I was right. Caffeine is one tricky bastard. You think it helps you, BUT IT DOESN’T IT JUST MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU’RE GOING THROUGH PUBERTY AGAIN.

ugh. no gluten, no dairy, no caffeine. Just adding another seriously pleasurable item to the list of shit I can’t have anymore.
